As part of the nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, the Huntington Historical Society is proud to present a new exhibit revealing what Huntingtonians experienced during the British occupation of Long Island in the late 18th century during the Revolutionary War.
The exhibit will feature local stories of heroism and resistance, illustrated by newly commissioned art, and accompanied by historic documents and artifacts drawn from the Society’s archives and collections.
