Evening Under the Stars

We invite you to be a part of AN EVENING UNDER THE STARS brought to you by the Huntington Historical Society, to be held on September 10, 2026.

In this, our nation’s 250th anniversary year, who better to honor than the two people who are the principal keepers of Huntington’s rich heritage and history: Antonia Mattheou, the Town of Huntington Archivist, and Robert C. Hughes, Huntington Town Historian. Antonia maintains our Town’s records going back to 1650, and she has also been instrumental in the preservation of the Huntington Lighthouse. Robert C. Hughes, the Huntington Town Historian, coordinates the Town’s historic preservation efforts, manages historic properties, and serves as liaison to cultural and historical organizations within the Town. He has been a long-time benefactor of the Huntington Historical Society.
