Events > 2017 > August > Thursday, August 24-- Historical Walking Tour & Pub Crawl

About this event:

Created by HHS

Soldiers & Sailors Memorail Building 228 Main Street Huntington, NY 11746

Town Historian Robert C. Hughes will lead the tour, discussing notable buildings and events in the village’s history and development. Along the way, you will stop at three establishments and participants will have enough time to enjoy a pint or two!

“This is a fun and different way to learn about the history of the village, especially considering that many people walk by these buildings everyday without thinking twice about their history.  But I dare you to take this tour and afterwards not to look up every time you walk by Bank of America to read the words “Bank of Huntington.” You’ll feel like you know something no one else does,” remarked Executive Director Claudia Fortunato-Napolitano.

The tour will begin at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Building, located at 228 Main Street in Huntington Village, where participants will get a chance to view our latest exhibit. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the tour will begin at 6:30 pm.
