Springtime is a busy time of year for everyone – gardeners start tending their flowers, spring cleaning begins in earnest, and everyone feels recharged with the promise of longer, and warmer, days. For the Huntington Historical Society, this time of renewed activity heralds the return of its fun, family-oriented events which highlight the lifestyles, arts, crafts and traditions of historic Huntington.
Looking for the perfect way to celebrate summer? We have the answer–the return of the Huntington Historical Society’s popular historic walking tour and pub crawl of Huntington Village!
The mill was built in 1795 and is the only surviving mill in Huntington. This historic site provided a way for farmers to transform their oats, wheat, and corn into flour which made the mill an important part of our local agricultural past. In addition, it is one of the best preserved 18th century tide mills in the country. This tour is a unique and enjoyable way to experience Huntington’s history.
