Before Suburbia: Huntington’s Gilded Age & Age of Guilds 1890-1940

Huntington Historical Society’s new exhibit highlights the civic growth of the village and Town of Huntington during the five decades from 1890 to 1940. Guild is defined as “an association of people for mutual aid of the the pursuit of a common goal.” This period corresponds with the “Gilded Age” of Huntington’s Gold Coast Mansions, which will also be highlighted in the exhibit.
